YOGAspirit®
200 Hour Basic Teacher Certification
Our training program is very comprehensive professionally and personally. Our approach is to provide new teachers with the basic tools that they will need to teach newcomers and beginner level students. Most importantly we provide a learning environment with an atmosphere of safety and compassion. Through our Sacred Life Philosophy Course and yogic philosophy studies, student teachers are inspired with the spiritual principles and integrity that support a foundation for student teachers to gain the self awareness and actualization to teach others.
The basic premise is that wholeness can be experienced when we are secure and at peace with ourselves and are able to navigate through daily life with discrimination and clarity. This requires that our energies be balanced on the physical, mental, emotional, causal levels and that all the techniques of yoga are used to bring about this state. The postures are taught with proper alignment and focus so that they are effective and safe. We believe that to embody YOGAspirit® is to cultivate a strong faith and respectful demeanor in our examples as teachers, to be of service to others by guiding our students towards finding harmony of body, mind and spirit.
This certification is designed not only for those wishing to teach this sacred art, but to anyone wishing to deepen their personal yoga practice and transform their lives. The program is useful to personal trainers, massage therapists, nurses and other holistic health professionals. Applicants desiring Certification should have six months study and practice of yoga.

"Kim is wise and generous and in the course of our 200 hour training gave us many gifts. Some I opened right away; others will have to wait until I have more skill. On the day of our graduation the gift of an answer was given to me. I have many times looked into myself and tried to find and answer to this question: How can I in my daily life be a bringer of light? Kim had prepared a personal and spiritual ceremony for us that day. And in reverence in the company of my wonderful classmates I received my answer- I can teach yoga, I can teach yoga for all those good reasons of health and wellness. And more than that, as a teacher I can bring to people the light that is yoga. This is a great gift I have received. It is the gift of my path. Sat Nam. Thank you, Kim."
